19th Century Philippine Console Table

Colonial Philippine table, made of exo­tic Molave wood, nati­ve to the Philippines, cur­ren­tly under strict pro­tec­tion. The matt sur­fa­ce of the table is cove­red with a natu­ral pati­na with tra­ces of use.
In the years 1565-1898 the Philippines was a Spanish colo­ny, hen­ce the Spanish sty­le of the fur­ni­tu­re. This type of table was main­ly made for mona­stic refec­to­ry in the Philippines.
The table has inte­re­sting dimen­sions, it is quite nar­row, so it can be used as a con­so­le table aga­inst the wall or as a kind of assi­stant behind the sofa.
The table top is made of one pie­ce of wood.
