Philippine Table
19th Century Philippine Console Table
Colonial Philippine table, made of exotic Molave wood, native to the Philippines, currently under strict protection. The matt surface of the table is covered with a natural patina with traces of use.
In the years 1565-1898 the Philippines was a Spanish colony, hence the Spanish style of the furniture. This type of table was mainly made for monastic refectory in the Philippines.
The table has interesting dimensions, it is quite narrow, so it can be used as a console table against the wall or as a kind of assistant behind the sofa.
The table top is made of one piece of wood.
