Biedermeier style birch mirror, 1830

Biedermeier style birch mirror with an architectural composition. The furniture piece is covered in a natural, traditional shellac polish, which gives the wood a warm, honey color. At the top, there’s a quarter-round molding in black piano polish, characteristic of the style. The original mirror plate is preserved, showing subtle oxidations that emphasize the antique character of the piece. The furniture is in very good condition after full conservation.
