Danish mid-century modern freestanding sofa. This is a flagship model created by the Danish designer Ludvig Pontoppidan. It is a highly sought-after collector’s item, produced in two sizes (2-seater and 3-seater), and is particularly prized on the American market. The backrest features delicate button tufting, which emphasizes the piece’s elegant form. The legs are crafted from solid beech wood and taper downward. The piece is distinguished by its slender, organic lines, featuring a characteristic rounded backrest that flows seamlessly into the armrests.
In the photo, the sofa is paired with a ‘long-john’ style coffee table, available at Square Drop.
The piece is in good condition, featuring the original coral linen fabric. We can provide reupholstery service upon the customer’s request.
