Polish Biedermeier Ash Wood Desk, 19th Century

This ash wood desk is characteristic of Polish Biedermeier design. The furniture’s construction is pine, veneered with ash. The tabletop is covered with bottle green felt.
It’s a freestanding desk. The wood has been finished with traditional shellac polish and waxed with beeswax.
